Miss Anna:

Anna Steil-Kerns is an accomplished dancer with over 20 years of performance, competitive and leadership experience. Anna holds bachelor degrees in both dance and health promotion from the University of Iowa.

She currently resided in her hometown of Oelwein, Iowa where she owns and operates Steil's Studio of Dance which is located in the same building she began her dance career in at the age of nine.

Anna continues to enhance the art of dance within the community she grew up in and strives to offer the same opportunities to her students that she received through dance. Her love of and commitment to dance is reflected in her many affiliations, membership and awards she has received.

 

Miss Alyssa:

Miss Alyssa started dancing at age 2 and has been teaching dance for the last 6 years, since she turned 16.

Her passion for all forms of dance keep her dedicated to continued practice and excellence.

From Miss Alyssa:

"I want to thank all of the parents for enrolling their children in dance and giving me the opportunity to teach them. I hope that we can keep you all dancing and moving on to great things! We appreciate all of you!!!"

 

Miss Elsie:

Miss Elsie has been dancing for the past 9 years. While she enjoys many different styles of dance, her favorite is Jazz.

From Elsie:

"I love sharing my passion for dance with younger students! I am just a caring and fun teacher and I love all of my students. I look forward to teaching yours soon! :)"

 

Miss Lana Gieselman:

Lana Gieselman has been dancing for the past 12 years. She is currently pursuing a career in professional dance while taking classes at Steil's Studio of Dance and the Nolte Academy of Dance in Coralville, IA. Her favorite style of dance is Ballet.

From Lana:

"Technique is very important to me so you can count on getting plenty of constructive criticism in my classes! But, most importantly, I love dance and want to instill that love in all my students."

 

Miss Jaida Houge:

Miss Jaida has been dancing for 14 years and her favorite type of dance is lyrical.

Miss Jaida has taken summer intensive classes at CNADM (Chicago National Association of Dance Masters), the University of Iowa's summer dance intensive and always participates in the studios summer dance classes. She has also participated in fall ballet and technique classes at the University of Iowa.

From Jaida:

I have been competing solos and group numbers for Anna since 2013. I choreograph my own solos and have earned platinum for them the last two years. I have also traveled to Minneapolis and Chicago to participate in conventions such as JUMP and The Pulse. I have been teaching at Steil's Studio of Dance for three years now, I assisted teaching my first year along side Anna and have had my own classes the past two years. I am very excited to work with your child!
